Impact: Wild x Wild
Impact of Wild x Wild
Wild x Wild - Photographs of Wildlife by Wildlife grew from RMCC’s CCC camera monitoring program. Wild x Wild featured gallery images of the best-of-best photos collected each year by CCC volunteers, agency staff, and RMCC. For more than ten years the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery exhibited the gallery of Wild x Wild photographs for free public viewing. The exhibit was one of the Museum’s most popular, viewed by thousands of Front Range parents and youth for several months each year.
The exhibits allowed visitors to witness the full spectrum of wild behavior—predatory interactions, playful antics, and survival strategies—without the influence or interruption of human presence, a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of wild animals, showcasing moments that are often unseen by researchers or the public.
The impact of Wild x Wild extended far beyond the museum walls, fostering a deepened appreciation for wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting the fascinating animals in “our back yard.”
