Impact: Communities, Cameras and Conservation

Impact of Communities, Cameras, and Conservation

The Communities, Cameras, and Conservation program has touched thousands of students and community members. The program has won awards as an exemplary citizen-science method that provided participants with hands-on learning. Along the Front Range of Colorado, CCC engaged middle school, high school, and university students as participants. CCC impacts include:

  • From 2008, CCC averaged ~100 students per year in active field camera monitoring.

  • Thousands of volunteers hours logged at Bobcat Ridge Natural Area and Lory State Park.

  • Thousands of wildlife images shared with local schools and with resource agencies.

  • Donations can be earmarked for supporting this RMCC program.
